Great RPG podcast!

I came to the podcast very recently, however I love it and find myself going back in time to listen to older episodes. Great rpg podcast, as well as just video game podcast.

Ignorant in the extreme

The discussion of the new console generation on the latest podcast was ignorant in the extreme. Sony already have a subscription service that includes games streaming called PS Now. And they just recently cut the price to $60 a year. The idea that Microsoft are ahead of the curve on games streaming is laughable. Sony have been streaming games for five years already.

Great Show

Leaving a 5 star review cause I enjoy the show every week, and maybe it’ll vouch my comment in something positive. The top RPG countdown series was awesome. It seemed like Kat put a lot thought and research into it, was well acquainted with all the entries, and brought on guests that were passionate and knowledgeable about each one.The new console retrospective... has been about as far away as you can get from that. It’s the only time AotBG has actually been hard for me to get through. I’m sure it’ll get better as it moves on to systems the hosts are more familiar with... but I sure wish the same amount of care had been taken with this feature. 😕

Too much eastern bias.

I get it, you like your video games to be from Japan. The anti Microsoft flag you wave is tiring to listen to. Celebrate video games, stop celebrating consoles with walled gardens.

I can’t stop listening.

I’ve always had a large roster of podcasts I listen to, but recently I’ve neglected all to binge listen to Axe of the Blood God. I find myself yelling “Yes!” whenever agreeing with Kat or Nadia and screaming “No!” at my phone whenever disagreeing with them. It’s constant praise and abuse for my poor phone and car radio. I’ve also discovered a lot of new games to play from them chatting and I really owe it to them for opening my eyes to so many good rpgs. Keep up the great work!

Intelligent video game RPG talk!

Thank you Kat, Nadia, and guest hosts for a really intelligent RPG-centric gaming podcast that I look forward to every week! Kat and Nadia show an appreciation and knowledge of the full breadth of the RPG genre, which complements some of the other weekly gaming podcasts out there that focus more on news or other genres. I look forward to many more great RPG conversations and the new console quest segment!

Best RPG Podcast out there

If you’re looking for an intelligent, witty, and good-humored look at a week’s worth of RPG gaming news/reviews (and sometimes in-depth series on particular games), look no further than Kat and Nadia. I anxiously await each week’s release of gamer gospel from these ladies, and I couldn’t possibly recommend this podcast any stronger than I do.Kat is sardonic and harsh, but also brilliant, and has a keen aptitude for keeping each podcast episode on schedule. As an LGBT gamer myself, Kat’s thriving presence and voice within the industry is also a comfort for me. Growing up, I recall nothing but homophobia in the industry, and games themselves, and Kat’s pushing against that is, for me, of vital importance. I especially enjoy her coverage of Persona’s treatment of LGBT people. To the reviewers who are offended by this, please look in the mirror and let your privilege mend your wounds...Nadia is a joy, too. She’s definitely the more light-hearted member of the team, which helps balance out Kat and generates a very synergistic interaction between the pair. I share, and very much appreciate, Nadia’s affinity for the Dragon Quest series, and I look forward to her takes on DQ news. The recurring guests—I’m thinking Caty and Mike—are also wonderful. I especially appreciate Cary’s more relaxed approach to gaming coverage, and Mike’s thoughtful approach to MMORPGs, a voice often absent from RPG podcasts.I could not help but be troubled by the numerous (but thankfully few) negative reviews volleying misogynistic criticisms at Kat and Nadia, which criticisms I never see aimed at male-dominated shows. I only hope Kat and Nadia aren’t deterred by these shortsighted snits—because their fans aren’t!@Cory_T810

Nice combo of journalism and opinion

I really enjoy these two, they’re well researched and know what they’re talking about, but they also talk about rpgs as fans, not just people in games media. Good stuff!

Thumb up

I’ve been listening to Kat for years. I first heard her on the Active Time Babble podcast for 1up.com. Always nice to hear other people appreciate role playing games the way I do. Great podcast! Thanks for the content!
