Best NFL podcast

This the best NFL podcast hands down. The chemistry of the hosts is fantastic. Marc and Chris keep the podcast grounded. They both give a lot of relevant insight to the show. Greg plays the foil with his constant smug attitude about his beloved Patriots. Dan is the weak link. He constantly goes off topic. He makes comments and analysis that at times are just idiotic. He should be replaced by Colleen Wolfe. The this wouldn’t only be the best NFL podcast but the best sports podcast.

They all talk about football in a whimsical manner. They love football. It’s refreshing to hear.

Like Hanging Out With My College Roommates Again

There’s a reason this podcast (like the Fantasy Footballers) works so well: the commentators are friends outside the show. Simple as that. I’d much rather listen to a room filled with witty, intelligent sports writers talking about sports than the testosterone-laden ex-athletes and coaches that dominate other sports talk media. Long live the heroes!

Podcast Bozos!

First of all, this is way better than that Buck Brooks show. We are talking about an award winning show from a room full of heroes. Or at least that is what they claim. But I don’t really believe all the stuff the Ol Zuesser says. The real voice of reason is the Old Boss. Have you heard he’s from a famous band? If you need some hot takes on the classics from silver screen, look no further than the Mailman. Let me know if you get his pop culture refs because I need a partner for trivia nights. And finally there’s mister positive, Mark with a C, food critic of the world. Am I the only one who thinks he sounds like the actor Michael Sera? Sometimes they get great guests like Tiny Box (she’s actually married to someone... who?)

Sol Cal Firefighter Motivated by ATN Podcast

To start the NFL season I was deployed on wildfires in Northern California (I work/live in SoCal). Away from wife/kids, hiking through steep terrain, breathing in smoked out conditions, sleeping on the forest floor, and worst of all, missing the start of the NFL season- I was encouraged by one factor. That one factor, I had a 14+hour drive ahead of me and 14+ hours of Around the NFL content. Dans smarmy Charm, Chris' endearing passion, Marc's adorable cynanism, and Greg's apathetic analysis make for such a complete, well-rounded, and enjoyable listening experience. I only wish was that my drive was longer. My greatest fear now, is not of the high risk environment of wildland firefighting, but that one of the heroes will one day leave the show! Never stop never stopping heroes!

My favorite and longest standing podcast

Most people looking for expert analysis of professional football would hardly expect to find themselves listening to a comedic masterpiece. Fortunately, that is exactly what the witty gentlemen of the Around the NFL podcast provide to their listeners. These heroes integrate plentiful humor and pop culture references with analysis of professional football 3 TIMES A WEEK, every week. While other football podcasts take long breaks during the doldrum months of the NFL offseason, the Around the NFL fellows continue to create enjoyable audio content that deserves annual award recognition. Their dedication to their craft is second to none. For fans of the NFL and all others, I highly recommend this podcast. I am proud to say that this was the first podcast I listened to over 6 years ago, and that during that time, many podcasts have come and gone, but the Around the NFL podcast remains. This podcast retains its special place in my heart, and I hope many others learn to cherish it as much I do.Edit: I posted this review back in 2015 when I had an iPhone. I’m back in the Apple gang and wanted to share the love for the ATN pod by reposting it (with a few edits) on the Apple podcasts app. The heroes are more than a quartet of men talking about football - they’re a team of skilled writers with great team chemistry who put in a lot of time and effort into making a quality entertainment bonanza for those who care to follow the NFL. I took a break from all podcasts for about a year and a half during 2016-17, but outside of that time, this podcast has been a staple of my life. Thank you Marc, Gregg, Dan, and Wes for this podcast. I hope you continue to make it for as long as it makes you all happy.

Best NFL Podcast in 'MY MIND'

The guys and Ricky do a great job with the show. It's insightful, they give great previews of games and great recaps afterwards; you can tell they have great chemistry. It can also be a pretty funny show once you get to know who's who as well.

The devils foursome

If you are looking for spunk, character, and football knowledge then stop what you are doing and Plug these bad boys in your cranium. Marc with a C will enchant your brain with his witty yet cunning remarks while Dan bombards your heart with his undying love of his new york jets. Wes is a lovable warrior and mad scientist who will feed you so many football nugs that you’ll be begging your mom for pepto, Last but not least, Gregg is a Patriots fan.-Eliot

The GOAT podcast!!

The Around The NFL podcast is hands down the single most entertaining, enjoyable and knowledge filled podcast I’ve listened to. I look forward to every new segment and I wish you guys were able to drop more episodes. It’s hard to keep a healthy work/life balance and stay up to date with the NFL, and your podcast enables me to do just that. I appreciate the hard work you all do - and to the point where I am wanting to start my own podcast. Football has been a passion of mine - and you’re right when you all take about needing to love football to love your job. Even when you get the snake pick you still gotta love the game enough to pick late in your draft and enjoy it. ALSO SONT FORGET TO CALL CHEFFE. With Rivera being fired I suppose you can back track to the conversation you guys will have with Cheffe haha. Again, you guys are amazing. I’m glad you reached your followers goal to stay afloat. Your biggest fan,Gabriel

MNF - Stick a Fork in It Pod

Been listening for a couple years now and have always appreciated the depth, humor, and chemistry. That said, was very disappointed by some of the analysis on the Kaepernick situation. To bring up the talking point by Stephen A. that it felt like Kaepernick may have cared more about the publicity then making a team felt like the type of analysis and journalism that has allowed Kaepernick to be black-balled in the first place. You guys had already recognized how he clearly has tried to stay away from speaking to the public, which means he isn’t looking for self-promotion and how the NFL had pretty clearly set this up to fail based on: the day the workout was on, the waiver, the last minuteness, and the lack of non-NFL people who would have been able to decide if he could still play. With all of that stacked against him after the league had already ruined his career because he believed in speaking up for a huge issue in this country, I felt like it was a little distasteful for a panel of white men to say that he was potentially at fault for not having a job in the NFL. Sorry for the downer comment, I do love the pod, but because I think you’re all smart and actually care about these issues, i thought it was worth bringing up.
