    Very happy listener

I really enjoy “We are supported by…” I think Monica and Kristen do a nice job interviewing these women. I’m sad to read some of the reviews that put them down but I have to believe those people lack empathy or are expressing jealousy in a strange way. These women are creating and doing more than most. Thank you both for striving for a better world.

    Garbage

Was this dax’s punishment for relapsing? Losing his show to whatever this is?

We are supported by needs its own channel

I don’t know why we are supported by took over this channel. I understand promoting another show by sharing the first episode but now over 10 episodes? I’ve tried to fill the void of armchair with we are supported by but just not loving it!

Thanks for the Reese Witherspoon épisode

I actually cried during the Reese Witherspoon épisode where my job as a stay at home mom was valued and acknowledged. I felt seen and heard. This is rare in the feminist/podcast space, and I just really, really appreciated it.

Love but unsubscribing until We are supported by is over

I love Armchair Expert but found “We are supported by…” to be totally cringy. Love both the women but was so painful couldn’t get though one episode. Please separate shows so I don’t have to see “We are supported by…Sheryl Sandberg” in my feed. We are so not supported by her. Vomit.

    lazy and annoying

host’s jokes arent funny and he clearly doesnt do research ahead of guest interviews. in his interview w awkwafina “shang-chi” was horribly mispronounced…to the point where awkwafina thought it was a joke. just embarrassing and lazy.

    Preach Me A River

What the flip happened?! Has every podcaster gone mad? Why can’t we just be entertained? Why do we have to be taught a lesson on feminism while a perfectly entertaining host like Dax is muted? In fairness, Dax is not the only podcast host to lose his way (Marc Maron, Joe Rogan, etc) Please go back to just talking to interesting people. Give me fluff over substance, especially now.

    Love This!

I think a lot of people who gave this poor reviews don’t realize it’s not the Armchair Expert show with Dax and Monica, it’s mini pods under the Armchair Expert’s Umbrella hosted by Monica with different co-hosts. Anyway.. I love the show, especially the “We are supported by” series. It’s so good to hear from all of these women; their unique stories and experiences are inspirational and motivational. Also, I just love Monica. She’s WONDERFUL and I love her questions, thoughts, and ideas.

The move to Spotify killed this podcast for me

Used to LOVE Armchair Expert. And I still try to listen, but I HATE that it moved over to Spotify. I’ve just stopped listening to it since it moved because I follow all my podcasts Apple Podcasts and checking out Spotify is just something I rarely do. Super disappointed.

Dax & Kristen just care about money & status!

It’s obvious Dax & Kristen are on a power couple partnership where they take every single offer that is thrown at them. They care so much about working, money, status & fame. Cool down! Start using your money to help the dying not your own selfish Ego! Yes you are selfish! You have the opportunity to save the world with your fame &Money but you choose to save only you! You are what’s bad in our world! Think about what’s next after this life because you are failing at your soul work. Focus on helping others with that money & success!

    What changed?

I used to love this podcast. The interviews were fantastic, but now it just looks like a collection of other podcasts and the old episodes are not available. I didn’t even get a chance to listen them all yet.

    Kim Kardashian

I loved the Kim K episode. I a big fan of the Kardashians and feel the more I can learn from them the better. They really exemplify ‘realness’ and I loved hearing Kim talk about how she has grown through her experiences. Thanks for having her. You guys are such good interviewers.

    Enjoyable Podcast

Enjoy the wide range of interviews. Only complaint is I would appreciate Dax thinking about using the term “Mother F_____”. I don’t have a problem with swearing but this term hits me right in the guts when I hear it. Misogynistic and so crude. Take the “mother” out of it and we are all good.

Since he moved the show elsewhere, this review is here

I see that he finally was offered a deal with another place. Maybe he will actually be happy now. This review is for his original show, Armchair Expert. If you listen to any of the episodes prior to 2020, it’s a great show. You will have to ignore Dax and Monica’s extreme narcissism and desperate need to be right about everything and focus on the guest, and you’ll enjoy it. After 2020, the show became very political and lacked any common sense, choosing to focus on magical Boogey Germs (it’s called a Theory for a reason), and Dax repeatedly made dismissive comments about Joe Rogan due to some underlying jealousy, envy…..whatever you want to call it. It was very unflattering to hear this, even though Dax has admitted in many episodes that he has this pattern of judgment. So I unsubscribed from listening to magical thinking both Dax and Monica have that people get sick from other people and floating Boogey Germs are out to kill them. If you cannot "catch" cancer, arthritis or diabetes from another person, then you cannot "catch" a cold or flu. There is no such thing that only SOME diseases are communicable, but not all. It's either all or none of them...they are all based on the same Germ Theory. If you can't “catch" someone's lung cancer, you can't "catch" their colds or flu. Upsetting and distressing events in a person's life is what causes ALL cancer and cancer-equivalent disease, cold, flu, pneumonia, bronchitis, etc. A massive fear campaign will CAUSE people to be "worried sick", but sickness doesn't happen until people resolve their fears, so the longer our corrupt governments in the world hold us hostage and full of fear, the more severe the illnesses will be when we are released. Find common sense. It’s in there somewhere.

    Why choose a Kardashian???

As a fan of the Armchair Umbrella podcasts and KB, I have to say I was deeply disappointed by this episode (yes, I did listen to the whole thing). Choosing a guest like Kim Kardashian woefully missed the mark on the goal of this podcast and they could have done way better. It felt like all KB and Monica (two thin and conventionally attractive straight, cis women) did was defend the harm that Kim and her family have caused. They have promoted unattainable beauty standards and thus encouraged body dysmorphia; this has affected many, many people and that topic was completely ignored here. If this episode was supposed to focus on prison reform, why not have Susan Burton on instead? While it’s great that Kim is improving herself, this episode just felt like over an hour of the hosts making excuses for Kim and how society views her even though Kim herself said she helped curate how society sees her as a producer on her own show.

    A pleasant surprise!

Stuck in lockdown in Australia I was very sceptical and a bit depressed before the Kim K interview but it really made me like her a little more and my spirits were uplifted! She’s really grown up ALOT and despite her problematic career I respect her . Nice job 👍.

Hi, I’m Dax Shepard, and I love talking to people. I am endlessly fascinated by the messiness of being human, and I find people who are vulnerable and honest about their struggles and shortcomings to be incredibly sexy. I invite you to join me as I explore other people’s stories. We will celebrate, above all, the challenges and setbacks that ultimately lead to growth and betterment. What qualifies me for such an endeavor? More than a decade of sobriety, a degree in Anthropology and four years of improv training. I will attempt to discover human “truths” without any laboratory work, clinical trials or data collection. I will be, in the great tradition of 16th-century scientists, an Armchair Expert.
