Thank you ladies!
Thank you for creating a safe place for us quirky, āweird,ā and curious friends. When I turn on An Acquired Taste, I feel like I belong and I am seen. The ladiesā opposite personalities compliment each other so well and offer lots of laughs each episode. Bethanyās episode on para social relationships may say otherwise, but I truly feel like a third best friend in on their conversations and find myself laughing along and talking back when I listen. Although Iām sad the podcast will eventually be ending (even though I secretly hope it never does), I understand their decision and am proud of them for making decisions that are hard, but will be best for them in the long run. I have the utmost respect for these women and the effort, time, and emotions they have put into creating this podcast. B and K you are a bright spot in this world!

Love wins!
Iāve listened from the very beginning and continued through all the changes and growth. These two women have a great friendship and have created a wonderful community. Their lives and careers are moving forward in the direction that they have been working towards and they are following their hearts. Though the podcast will eventually end, these women will be doing great things elsewhere and I will support them both however I can.

Tastebud Forever
This podcast has been the background track to my life for the last 7 years. It has seen me through getting married, moving across the country, my dad dying, moving back home, getting divorced, going through a very bad relationship, becoming pregnant, birthing my son, and finding my soulmate despite it all. I love these women. I love the place they have created for so many of us. I am so so SO proud of them and all they have accomplished, created, and transformed into over these last 7 years. Itās been such a beautiful journey. This podcast will end, as theyāve announced. Formats have changed. But the safety, the love, and the space these lovely humans have made for us will be here forever. Iām so grateful to have experienced this journey alongside them and the amazing community of tastebuds that has been created through this podcast. I have so much love for them all. Thank you for the last 7 years and I wish you ladies nothing but luck and love in your journies moving forward. Thank you, thank you, thank you ā¤ļø

Been listening for 4 years now-still love it!
TL;DR: best podcast everrrrrrrr šSo Iāll just start by saying Iām not a podcast listener, if I have time to listen to something Iām going to listen to music. But back in 2018 I had some things going on (too much to get into here) and needed something I could really focus on while driving. The first podcast I found was called āThe Absolute Worst Podcastā and I gave it a try. Really, it was the big sparkly design in contrast to the name that made me give it a try. I listened for about 6 months and it got me through some hard times. Then, in Jan 2019 they announced they were done. DEVASTATED. No idea how I was going to manage to drive to work and home. We had a fan group on FB, and one of the members basically said, hey, I know the bodies arenāt even cold yet š«š BUT we have another group for a different podcast if you wanna join and give that pod a listen. I was hesitant because really, listening to (then, 3) women talk isnāt normally my cup of tea, I thought AWP was just the exception. But I didnāt know what else to do, I NEEDED a podcast to listen to. I was immediately hooked. At that time they were almost 3 years in, I listened to a few current episodes and then started at the beginning. Over the years the pod (and the hosts) have went through many changes, from leaving the radio show that the pod was affiliated with and thinking they were going to lose it all, to one of the hosts leaving. Dealing with eating disorders and anxiety, the pandemic, lockdown, Bethany meeting her life partner and Kathleen losing her dad to COVID. B&K are always raw, real, honest and hilarious; talking about things both personal and not personal. During their time on the air the US has had 2 major, controversial presidential elections, a lockdown, Roe v Wade overturned, racial unrest, mass shootings, and the pod (and the FB fan group) have been a place to listen, talk, and heal. They really do feel like your 2 best friends, I 100% recommend giving the show a listen if you havenāt yet! They both also have spin off shows now: Bethany does āThe Check-Inā with Dennis, about working and living with your significant other; Kathleen has āKathleen Can Do It,ā a show with her other friend named Kathleen about DIY home design and improvement. I love both of those as well, and together the 3 podcasts are still the only ones I listen to.

I love listening to the genuine dialogue between Bethany and Kathleen. Their funny, heartfelt banter showcases their friendship in such a beautiful way. They always focus on inclusion, which has created an amazing online community of unconditional love and support. The world is a better place because of this podcast!

Nothing But Love
Iāve been listening to this podcast from the beginning and have loved it in every season. Kathleen and Bethany sound refreshed and relaxed and still have a wonderful witty banter.

Quit the pod or do things like you used to
Itās just one long ad now. I HATE this new season. I went back to re-listen to 2019 because the new episodes just arenāt itā¦ā¦ as much as I hate saying it, if this is what the new pod is going to be, you should just end it on a high note. Absolutely love you girls but this isnāt what you created anymore.

New format
Like others have said itās seems like one long commercial now. The conversation doesnāt seem genuine anymore with the way they segue into commercials. The topics seem to revolve around whatever ad they are putting out that week. Iāve listened for years so Iām bummed that itās coming to an end and I get it but this format is no good. If your hearts not in it maybe you should quit while your ahead. Nothing wrong with that. I do really enjoy Bethanyās new pod cast The Check In so Iāll go over there and give that a 5 stars!

Iāll pay the apple subscription for this show!
I started listening to this podcast many years ago when they first launched it through the Elvis Duran show. It makes me laugh on hard days, it brings me out of my anxious spirals⦠and Iāll be the first to admit I have a wild par-asocial relationship with these ladies š«£š . I donāt know if Iāll ever find another podcast quite like this one. Iād pay monthly for this podcast if it meant theyād keep making 50 min episodes for forever and ever, and I know many others would too. Please consider that option, much love and best wishes!!

Awful new format
Love the girls and used to love the pod, but I wish they would have just ended the Podcast instead of going to this short format thatās 50% commercials. Really disappointing.

One long ad
I have loved this podcast for so long but canāt listen to this new format anymore and it makes me sad. Each episode now just feels like a long ad and the way they work the ads into their conversation is just upsetting, it feels like they are just keeping this podcast going for the ad revenue, but not actually putting forth the effort in creating quality content for the listeners. I totally understand their reasons for wanting this podcast to come to an end, but itās better to just end it now vs selling longtime listeners short.

Enjoyed for many years but maybe call it a day
Iāve enjoyed this podcast for a long time but the start of this new/last season feels like they are just phoning it in. Not a fan of how they now work the ads into the conversations because then their conversation doesnāt feel genuine. I think they should end this podcast on a high note! Wishing them the best.

New Format is Garbage
This new format is like one big commercial. It is a waste of my time, and unfortunately I will stop listening prior to the end of the podcast.

Will Be Missed
Hearing about the end of the podcast has been hard. Itās something Iāve looked forward to every week. The way the episodes have been shortened out lately has been disappointing as they seem like the bonus episodes instead of a full one but I appreciate that we at least get two. I would like it even more if you gave us one full episode a week but I know part of the reason the podcast is ending is because your lives are busy. I canāt say that I donāt have weird abandonment feelings about this but you guys have been a light in a very dark time for so many for quite awhile. You have a right to do what is best for you. Thank you for all the laughs, the feels and the thinks youāve given us throughout the years. You will be sorely missed ā„ļø
