Great tone and provocative themes

I love the generous lilting flow of these two friends in conversation. No art snobbery here, just shared love of justice and curiosities aplenty!

Thanks!

I love of siting alone in cafes, discretely listening to conversations between people sitting at adjacent tables. The practice of overhearing is a gamble— not all conversations between friends offer something meaningful to an outsider. Beyond that, a careless eavesdropper can be shot with a ruthless side-eye at any moment. But listening to the first episode of “All Talk” fed my eavesdropping habit risk-free. I loved the discussion of Robin Wall Kimmerer’s words about why people mistreat the earth— the struggle to process and express grief is such a cord between break-ups and climate change, and relevant to many other experiences. I was moved by sensory details of water during the Pittsburg protest, and visceral recollections of past heart break.

Beautiful, captivating, thoughtful!

I love this podcast! Give us more episodes! The way that they weave in references to literature and art with descriptions of the events of their daily lives as artists, and their observations of the beautiful and fraught world around us is captivating. I’ve followed each of these artists' work for a while now and it’s wonderful to get a window into how their minds work, and also to hear their voices. It’s like live poetry in action!
