Amazing and unique content!

I’ve been listening to ATB for nearly a year now. The episodes are consistent, diverse, and always entertaining and engaging, regardless of the featured guest! Hosts Chuck and Ron both do a great job of asking questions that will pull the most interesting answers out of the guests, while being humorous and making everyone feel welcome. I’ll be following for future episodes!

Great in-depth conversations

I’m amazed at the guests they continue to get. The conversations hit a depth that goes beyond the surface. By the end of each interview, you feel like you’ve gained insight into the personalities of these immensely talented people. One of my favorite recent interviews was with Livingston Taylor. What a thoughtful, intelligent and caring man, musician, and teacher. Amazing work, Chuck and Ronnie!

Doris Kearns Goodwin!

Had the opportunity to meet Chuck and team recently while he was recording an upcoming podcast at my cafe. I subscribed to Above the Basement as a means to get notified when said podcast was available to listen. I am so glad I did!! I was so excited to receive a notification on my phone that Episode 128- featuring Doris Kearns Goodwin- was available. I thought ‘could this be right?’ I am a fan of DKG- and loved listening to this podcast- the lead up to the DKG interview featured the parents of Pete Frates and affiliates of the Red Sox. The event was a fundraiser for the Frates Family Foundation for those dealing with ALS aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The whole event was very interesting- full of moving worlds from Pete’s mother- fun poems from the Red Sox poet laureate- and a great conversation with Doris about her love of baseball and history. I especially loved the story about her being on the Kennedy yacht and missing the last two games of the Yanks-Red Sox series! Well worth the listen! I will be listening to more for sure!!

I really dig this podcast. The guests have a broad range of musical backgrounds and interesting perspectives. Some great stories and Ronnie and chuck keep the conversation rolling. I also listen to the moth so if you like that you will like this as well.

Not a podcast-guy but...

I'm not a real podcast-guy, but I LOVE all types of music. ATB is cool because I feel like I'm waiting for the next song or piece of music to be interwoven into the conversation. The LIVE music at the end is always something new or different too. I'm hooked! Kudos
