Surface only

Not really investigative reporting. Maybe a little investigating of the cops/sheriff’s lack of effort, but the reporter made even less effort to find out what happened. Also, skip the extra episodes, you hear them again in the real episodes. Feel like I knew nothing more after listening to the whole podcast than I did the first episode. Wasted about 2 hours of work tho, so there’s that.

Eh

Listened to an episode. The subject matter was not presented well. The reported jumped right into interviews. I had no idea what was going on.

Fascinating and well reported

It’s refreshing to hear a true-crime podcast produced by a professional journalist. Russ Bowen is asking all the right questions, and has a great ability to put the people he talks to at ease and get to the heart of their stories.

Cold Case Mystery

Cold Case stories are so interesting and this story is just heartbreaking for the families and community involved. The reporter did an excellent job taking me along through his story gathering process. It was great being in the living rooms of the families as he interviewed them.

A Journalist blueprint

Russ and his team really knock it out of the park. From personal experience I know he takes the fine tooth comb through these stories. Never dissatisfied with a episode, and he always lets the listener in on the investigation. I feel like I’m a part of the story.

Mystery deaths

I love the recap at the beginning of each chapter. Its a great visual story, the way radio stories used to be. As each one ends, I cant wait until the next one comes available. It seems unbelievable that in this day and age, they cant find anything about how these women were killed. I smell a cover up!!

Giving Voice to the Voiceless

Just listened to 4th episode of 32 Degrees, was so compelling, I was shocked 13 minutes went by and it was over already! The storytelling leaves you wanting more. All 4 episodes are well crafted. Each one gets better. Love the use of music, weaving interviews with news clips , etc and the way Bowen draws honest, real sound from all his interviews. 32 Degrees is giving voice to the voiceless.
