A TOTAL JOY IN EVERY RESPECT!
I only found this podcast recently - and I absolutely adore these women!
I cackle - I snigger - and I splutter at their fabulous rapport, tales, juicy details - and - most of all - their consistent ability to bring me joy!
They have also brought me to tears at times when sharing aspects of their lives - paradoxically - the aforementioned tales and my strongly identifying with their stories have also made me howl with laughter at times as their ‘such is life’ take on what could be viewed as beyond painful aspects of one’s life is interspersed with exquisite irony - really - I can not think of any reason not to love these glorious women and their podcast for as long as they may reign.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart Rachel and Desi - oh! - and just one last thing! - from my perspective - people who voice podcasts can really impact how I response to my listening to their podcast - and these gal’s voices are truly an added incentive for listening.

Can you two go at least one freaking show without mentioning Trump? Jesus, I’m beginning to think you both are a bit obsessed w him. Get over it already!!! The horse is dead for crying out loud. I love Desi and Rachel
So happy I recently discovered this podcast. I lived in Los Angeles for a long time ( miss it!). The stories remind me of what I loved! The history, weirdness, allure, and fascinating people. Desi and Rachel tell the history in such an entertaining way and I can’t stop laughing at their jokes, I feel like I’m part of their conversation. Their recent riff on a cat being a sleuth wearing a Sherlock Holmes hat… I was taking a walk and couldn’t breathe for laughing so hard! Much needed joy! Thank you, ladies!

You need to FOCUS. Stop giggling over stupid things, and stop giggling about terrible, serious things and show some respect. Also, how hard is it to learn how to pronounce things correctly?! For example, it’s Mount Holyoke, pronounced holy-oak. You know, kind of how it looks?! Jeez.

I randomly heard an ad for this podcast on a different one the other day and I recognized Desi’s name from having read and liked her writing online so I checked it out. I’m excited to have found the show when I have a backlog of over 200 episodes to dive into, what a treat!

i am lucky and grateful to have found this podcast. interesting topics, well researched and presented in a funny, informative, raunchy conversational style. Rachel and Desi have great chemistry together. some of the funniest things I have ever heard came from this podcast. it is definitly my favorite podcast. if you like podcasts presented in an informative, ribald manner, this is the one for you.

Get to the point. Please stop giggling.
It’s really frustrating to listen to a podcast episode on a subject you’re interested in only to have the host or hosts immediately get off-subject and start giggling and having off-track conversation. This is the case here. It wouldn’t be a problem if it were only occasional, but it’s not—it’s about every two minutes. Why not edit? Is it to stretch out the podcast episode time or something? In any case, there are podcasts out there that don’t waste your time.

I LOVE this podcast!
This is the only way to listen to true crime. I am so tired of boring true crime that’s super rapey, gory, and bloody; Rachel and Desi get into the story in a real way including the back story and motives. Really, really engaging and funny!

Half Salvi.
Hello ladies,So I have left a review before. And not sure if you got it but anywho. I just finished listening to this episode and you guys talked about Salvadoran food. And since I’m half Salvi. I know of a few places in California (I don’t live in California anymore 😞😞😞) There’s a small little place called Myra’s Salvadorian Cuisine. You will love it. It is located in Downey California. It’s worth the trip. Love you gals and thank you for keeping me company during work. Godfather episodes were fantastic!
Edited because I meant to give this podcast 5 stars!! I just discovered this podcast! The recent Godfather episodes were incredibly good! The research is impeccable and I learned things about that movie that I had never knew before… and I thought I’d heard it all! Both hosts are very easy to listen to, pleasant voices, just overall a great podcast. Keep up the great work:)
